Horrible shopping experience
Amour Vert has some lovely designs but my first (and probably last) shopping experience with them has been absolutely awful.
I ordered a silk skirt on Oct. 11th and the money was immediately taken off my card. A month went by with no shipping notification, so I reached out to their customer support team and was told that they were "behind with shipping." Given the pandemic-related postal service delays, I accepted that this order might take slightly longer to get to me, although 4 weeks without even a shipping label created seemed a bit extreme.
Another 2 weeks passed and I reached out again, as I still hadn't received notice of shipment—this was now nearly 7 weeks from time of purchase. I had to send a follow-up before I finally received a response from support, once again with a vague explanation about distribution centre issues causing delays with international shipping. I asked about an ETA and was told they were unsure when my order would ship but they would keep me posted.
A few days later, a manager emailed me with a Canada Post tracking number and told me that my order had been dispatched and that I should see movement on that tracking number once the distributor scans it the following day.
Another week passed and the tracking number remained inactive. I reached out to the support team again, at this point quite annoyed by the hassle, and asked whether anyone could confirm for me whether this package had actually shipped or refund me if it hadn't. By the end of the week, I still hadn't received a response—I DMed the company on Instagram and was told that someone would be in touch soon.
Another FULL WEEK later, I received an email from a different support agent with an entirely new tracking number and was told that my order would arrive on Dec. 24th (nearly 11 weeks since I actually ordered it).
The skirt just arrived today and after all the frustration of the previous weeks, I was sent the wrong size (the skirt that came is a S, and it shows clearly on the order invoice that I ordered a M).
Needless to say, this has been a complete mess from start to finish and an extremely offputting introduction to the company. I've requested a full refund given the fact that I can't even wear the skirt I waited two and a half months to receive (no word yet on whether they will comply) and sincerely hope that Amour Vert sorts out whatever is going on with their distribution centre soon.
